Sometimes my mom can say really hurtful things off the cuff, jokingly.
I have worked really hard to get to where I am, literally on the map and in the sense that I am standing head and shoulders above any level of happiness and stability I've ever experienced.
I, personally, am really proud of you.
ReplyDeleteI don't know exactly how to put this, but it isn't like you worked really hard in the sense that you were really low and down and you pulled yourself up to the level of most people. It's that you worked really hard in the sense that you were already at the level of most people and you've skyrocketed above them.
You're making a living in the city and you have real clients and you're doing work you want to do and you're damn good at it. Don't forget that last part.
